Rothfuss goes out of his way to shoehorn the title of the book into the story in several places and it's really distracting. Patrick Rothfuss seemed so promising after his debut novel, but I doubt his will be a lasting name unless his next book makes some major improvements upon the pile of steaming crap he served us with The Wise Man's Fear. But with a daughter of his own, he finds himself developing a profound, and perhaps unwise, empathy for her distraught father. Support him and indulge yourself in a little escapism.
