"Extra Low Fuel Pressure" Systems Typically, low pressure carbureted or injection pump systems can experience a greater difference in "percentage" of change regarding error. The main problem that I had was the fact that the "lip" at the bottom protruded just *slightly* too much for the regulator to fit in it's bracket once it was mounted. A mistake in where you mount a fuel pressure regulator could lead to issues keeping the car fed with the correct amounts of fuel, especially at the track. You are limiting both the volume as well as the pressure of fuel supplied to the engine. This could occur if the fuel line between the regulator and the destination fuel rail, fuel log, carburetor, diesel or direct injection pump is positioned to run lengthwise on the vehicle, and the regulator is placed behind the fuel destination. There is also an additional un-used port on the regulator which can be used to add the optional fuel test port kit fitting. We spent a lot more time on this bracket then its worth, but that's the only way we do things around here! I did a search and I really couldn't find any instructions on HOW to put a fuel pressure regulator on an N/A fuel rail.
