My preference would be any time I'm driving slowly, the camera would turn on to show my surroundings, in the direction I'm traveling. Also now I am unable to shut the radio off. Just a guess, but I suspect that the reason for the delay is to let you see if you're about to be rear ended so you can stomp on the gas to minimize the impact or hopefully avoid it entirely. Which is of course a ridiculous statement.
I also tried turning the stereo on and off to see if that would help. This is a common enough issue that we know was one of two issues. Especially scan the MMI display module AND PARKING AID. It's pretty stable - turning Z-mode on and off didn't show the settings screen, it continued to display the camera image. How can I get the back up camera off when I cant get to my settings?
