He praises her gift-giving skills, and tells her proudly that he'll put it right next to his bed, and it's the very thing he's always wanted. He gulps, weighing it in his mind. He declares that he's going to stop buying meat, thinking she'll decide that she doesn't like him, but to his dismay, she says it's regrettable, but she'll deal. He asks where she is, but all he gets is a curt, "I'm busy.
